Excerpt: I just read a very good article on how software models were partly responsible for the Great Crash of 2008. Basically, the article talks about how software programming models, based on conventional statistical theory and probabilistic techniques, cannot really predict the outcome of financial markets either short term or short term.

I never got a chance to read Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland (by Lewis Carrol) but I saw all the chapters in animated form on TV during my childhood days. It took me a few years to realize that Lewis had actually mixed physics and mathematical concepts in the story line, and I had to watch the series again (I love cartoons and animated movies!) so that I can relate to the integration and differential mathematical principles, which I had learnt in school with Caroll’s imaginative story
